We Are A Black Belt School!

We will commit ourselves to getting you to black belt level and beyond, to instilling the virtues of the martial arts and to making you more successful and positive in life through the practice of Kuk Sool Won™.

To accomplish this, we must instill the BLACK BELT ATTITUDE, to set goals for self-improvement, and to develop the “never-give-up” spirit that is necessary to overcome obstacles and become more successful in life.

Next we hope to educate and influence our students overall BEHAVIOUR so that they will develop the habits and lifestyle that will lead towards long term success; to learn and practice self-discipline in everything we do.

Finally, is to reinforce solid CHARACTER development and to live by the set principles and standards that can be applied to daily living, to encourage the formation of high personal standards and demonstrate respect for all human beings.

We will constantly strive to maintain our commitment to LEAD by EXAMPLE with ENERGY and EXCELLENCE.

More importantly, Kuk Sool has a wide range of responses to an attack. They go from avoiding, to the merely controlling, to the painful, to the injuring, to the deadly. An important part of the philosophy behind Kuk Sool is that one meets an attack with an equal response. If someone grabs your shirt, the only response some people know is to break their knees with a kick. Kuk Sool considers such a response inappropriate. In Kuk Sool one learns that small threats can be met with small responses which will probably avert further trouble without causing more problems than they solve.
